Group Service Opportunities

Deep Roots has volunteer opportunities perfect for corporate groups, faith-based groups, clubs, alumni organizations, schools, and more.

We will work with you to offer a suitable opportunity for your group here at Deep Roots!

MISSION TRIPS / WORK GROUPS
Clairvaux Farm has a long history of hosting mission trips and work groups from across the country.  We continue to welcome mission trips and work groups that would like to contribute towards improving the physical plant.  Activities may include construction, renovation, cleaning, organizing, landscaping, repairs and similar projects.  Our Mission House can accommodate both small and large groups for overnight stays.  We host groups throughout the entire year, and will work with groups of all skill levels.  This is a great way to get to know more about our work by residing at the Farm and interacting with our families and other volunteers.  See this page for more information.

HOST A MEAL
Provide the ingredients and prepare a healthy dinner for our residents at Deep Roots. Come up with a creative meal and cook on-site for approximately 12 to 15 families. This is a great way to get to know our families while sharing a delicious meal.

Unable to cover the cost of a meal?  Deep Roots still appreciates any donation of your group’s time and energy.  Groups are more than welcome to serve meals whether or not they are able to sponsor them.  Please note that we generally have a surplus of volunteers during the holiday season, yet our families are in need throughout the year.  We’d love to have you join us!

RETREATS
This opportunity allows groups to use our Education Building, Chapel and Mission House for their own retreats.  We ask for a fiscal contribution to cover expenses and that you share your meals in our Dining Hall with our residents.

IN-KIND DONATION DRIVE
Collect critical items that are needed to support our families.  Wish list includes toiletries, new socks, new underwear, gas cards, gift cards for unusual or personalized needs and other seasonal items, particularly for rapidly growing children and youth.  Sponsoring a child’s extracurricular expenses is another example.  Many of our children would like to participate in sports or music and have insufficient resources to do so.
